Shattered Lives works in collaboration with Your magazine and their media campaign to help deliver various projects that are designed to motivate, educate and rehabilitate people and communities back into society.
Purpose of MERS
The purpose of MERS is to help develop and administer effective practical solutions that build and rebuild the lives of those who are disadvantaged all over the world, such as;
- The orphans
- The disabled
- The unemployed
- The single parent
- The terminally ill
- The mental health suffer
- The homeless and refugee
- The ex offender
The operational system we call “MERS” is what our activities revolve around. We understand that if we are truly going to be effective in helping the individuals that need it the most; we need to provide a complete remedy, which MERS is designed to achieve.

M – Motive
It takes time and determination to motive individuals and communities and can only be successfully achieved by those who genuinely care and understand the need of those who are being motivated. It can be easy to educate an individual but will serve no purpose if that person is not motivated to do anything with their qualification or skills gained.
Our motivational activities include but are not limited to:
- Organising community events with the aim to motivate
- Strategic operational outreach activities – i.e.(visiting homeless shelters/mental health groups/Prison etc
- Providing one to one motivational sessions
- Purposely seeking and sourcing those who need motivating the most and dedicating the time to encourage them.
Shattered Lives endeavor to provide ongoing motivational support where needed.
E – Educate
There is nothing more discouraging than to complete a long course or training session and not be able to find secure employment or be able to use the skill/s to generate income. We devise strategic programs that seek education and training opportunities for people that need it the most. We also tailor our programs to opportunities that help get people back into work quicker.
R – Rehabilitate
We provide rehabilitation services that help people to access, continue or return to work. Our rehabilitation activities include:
- Completing application forms
- Interview advice and support
- Clothing and transportation funds for interviews
- Job option review and alterations (with employers and medical consultants as required)
- Transferable skills analysis to identify alternative work options
- Rehabilitative case management
- Providing childcare support and advice
- Financial planning advice and ongoing support
S – back to Society
We work closely with governing bodies, employers; recruitment services etc to ensure that we are and those that we support are constantly up to date with regulations and employment policies.
